Guidance from
Reverend Shingi Iwaki for the 3-28-2008 Installation Ceremony
On the occasion of being
installed as the 7th Chief Priest of Myogyoji Temple, I would like
to thank Overseas Department Chief Rev. Gyoyu
Urushibata, for attending todayÕs ceremony, despite returning to Japan from
Singapore with the High Priest. I also would like to thank Rev. Yogaku Iwaki, Chief Priest of Risshoji
Temple in Fukuoka, Rev. Yogyo Hamazaki,
Chief Priest of Zenshoji Temple in Onomichi, Rev. Yomei Imafuku, Chief Priest of Myohoji
Temple in Shimonoseki, and Rev. Shingyoku Yamazumi, Chief Priest of the
Philippines Office, for attending todayÕs ceremony despite your long journey
from Japan and the Philippines. I also want to extend my sincere appreciation
to NST Vice-President and Chief Priest of Myosetsuji
Temple in New York Rev. Daido Nakamoto, and Rev. Yuzui Murata for helping the preparations for this
ceremony. Thank you very much. I also want to thank all of you here today for
attending todayÕs ceremony despite your busy schedule.
Yesterday,
I received the appointment as Chief Priest of this temple from High Priest
Nichinyo Shonin. As Chief Priest, I am determined to put forth my greatest
efforts to preserve the great achievements Rev. Murata achieved at this temple not
only for the sake of the Chicago area, but also for the Kosen-rufu
in the Central, Midwest, and Southern parts of the United States. Next year
will be the 750th
Anniversary of Revealing the Truth and Upholding Justice through the Submission
of the Rissho ankoku-ron. I was in a
position of welcoming the overseas members to the Head Temple before. But from
this point on, I wil be in a position where I will accompany members to the
Head Temple. When that time comes, I want to accompany lots of members to Tozan
next year.
In
closing, I would like for more guidance and encouragement just like before. I
also wish for the further good health of Rev. and Mrs. Murata, as well as for
everyone here today. Thank you very much.
